New Hope Tutorials/Lexington

July 2010 Update:

We have our rental contract agreement with Grace Chapel in place for fall 2010! Many of you have already pre-registered your high school students for our Intermediate Literature, American Lit I, or Public Speaking tutorials. All of these now have six or more students and are ready to run for this fall. *There's room for more students, so please do spread the word about New Hope!

We're pleased to announce NEW OFFERINGS for ages 11-12 year olds: our Mini Tutorials in Writing, Science and Art. To register for any of these, please click here.

In addition:

FANTASY & MYTHOLOGY/Art and Writing Workshop for 8-10 year olds!
September 20 start date
Tutors: Nan Chando (art), Leah Easley (writing)
Workshop Description:
Let your imagination take flight through the Fantasy and Mythology Workshop! We will delve into myths and fantastical stories from a variety of traditions and eras, from ancient myths to medieval chivalry to the modern fantasy of Lewis and Tolkein. We will fine-tune our writing skills by composing a number of creative pieces. We'll meet and create our own ancient deities, fairies and more as well as envision fantastic characters, out-of-this-world settings, and mythical garb. We will write small position works, exploring the “rights” and “wrongs” of ancient myths and characters. This course will complement Nan Chando's art workshop based on the same themes.

To register for these workshops, visit the Lexington Registration form.
