As students continue along their artistic journey, there are always new roads down which to venture and explore. With the elements of principle and design as familiar tools to guide them along this path, students will continue to build upon their understanding of drawing and observation. Using these tenets, along with more complex subject matter, students will expand their artistic accuracy, creativity and skill. The emphasis of this tutorial will be to use various drawing materials as art tools, to hone observation skills, and to apply the information to a series of studio assignments. As in previous art tutorials, the habit of keeping a sketchbook will be essential. Critiquing one's own work and the work of peers will continue to be of growing importance in this course.
