This exciting new offering will explore the
connection between actor, director, and
playwright. While each has its own place in
theatre, their roles are interconnected.
Students will not only be exposed to classical
and contemporary theatre, but will have the
chance to write, direct and act in student-
produced pieces. Emphasis will be placed on
acting, directing and writing plays with
dramatic action in mind. Students will have an
in-depth look into the world of theatre through
hands-on work rather than a lecture-style
class.
The course is designed to be a well-rounded
experience in the artistic (performance based)
positions of theatre. A great course for
students with and without acting experience,
and for those currently taking acting and
playwriting at the workshop level (January
