Whether you have a current student with us or you simply believe in our educational mission, there are many ways to support New Hope.
You can support a student through a scholarship. This is one of our biggest needs right now. We have many students who would like to take more tutorials (or their first) but for whom it is out of reach financially. Many of you heard a parent speak at our Parent Orientation about the tremendous blessing that New Hope has been to her daughter, enabled by scholarship donations. There are several ways you can help:
- Give a one-time donation of any amount at any time.
- Commit to giving a specific amount each month.
- Commit to sponsoring a specific student for a specific tutorial.
Your donations are tax-deductible. You can either mail them directly (preferred) or put them in Jennifer Drummond's box at New Hope. If you would like to give but aren't sure where the greatest need is, don't hesitate to email Joan Smith.
New Hope has events throughout the year that require parental involvement on a variety of levels. You could:
- join our hospitality team which provides refreshments, setup and cleanup at most of our events;
- donate babysitting hours for tutors during New Hope events and meetings
- pray with our group that meets Tuesdays at 8am at New Hope
- pray for New Hope at home
- help Joan during the week at New Hope, e.g. monitoring study halls and student free time
Please let us know if you would like to help us in these (or any other) ways.

"I enjoy NHMS literature because I have a teacher like Mrs. Wassell. It gives me something to look forward to every Wednesday and it is always different – every class is a surprise! When you need to share one of your works, you can be sure that nobody will laugh at you – they’ll only laugh with you. Mrs. Wassell has helped improve my writing a lot since I first started class under her teaching. This class gives me another chance to be with my friends. I know that they will always be there. We all know that we are there together and for one purpose – to learn how to write."

"I think the college-like schedule and hard work required at New Hope is a very good introduction to college life."
-Hannah Cohen, '06 (currently at Covenant College, GA)
