Purpose

In order to foster excellence in the scientific exploration of God’s creation, New Hope Tutorials (NHT) is sponsoring its second annual science and engineering fair for the NHT and home school community, teaching the students proper science methods and presentation techniques.  In 2007, five middle school students and one high school students went on to the regional and state fairs.  These students achieved two third place and two fourth place finishes.

Involvement

The Science/Engineering Fair is open to home schooled middle- and high-school students (nominally the 6-12th grades).  The students will chose a science or engineering topic of their own, plan and conduct an experiment, analyze the data, and present the results through a written report and a stand-alone display.  Students will answer questions during the Fair.
